[Wikipedia-l] Logo consensus?

Sure, visual is better than text ;o)
What about cut the logo in parts to create "only globe color" variants,
"only globe text" variants and "only wikipedia text" variants. The final
logo will be assemblage of the favorite variant of each parts.
