I still think this is a little too much like a solicitation
even in the form stated by the above pseudonoymous
poster.

How about "Learn how you can help Wikipedia:
more information about [donation]s. "

The good thing about this is all it is doing is encouraging
one to read more about it.

Also, how about taking it off the printable version of the
page. That is a printed publication and may be used
to suggest that a donation is be solicited in the place
that the page is printed (of course anyone can print
a web page, but by removing it from the printable version
it is making a statement that it is only an online solicitation
that falls within the ambit of the "Charelston Principles"
and not the more vigorious rules about in-state solicitations.)
