The attacks were an ill-considered remark from Alphax, and then my
wondering why Alphax was being lynched for what was to me clearly a mere
grumble rather than a truly hateful remark.  But wait!  My questioning
of their lynching revealed that I too am a vicious misogynist!  From
there, the script is playing out as usual -- there is of course no
defense against a charge of misogyny; /any/ response whatsoever (other
than immediate public self-abasement followed by a good long
self-flagellation) proves the charge.
