In this case, assuming my memory is not malfunctioning
yet again, I
believe Sam's "cite" was: "a certain percentage of Americans are
Christian, Jewish, or Muslim". Which then became: "the majority of
humans believe in God."
In other words, the cite was no good for what he wanted to claim, and
only served to add America-centrism to his long list of offensive
editing practices.
Look at them again.
It was three cites, 2 of american, the third a BBC international
survey. Not that the facts make any difference, when you already have
your mind made up. I expected encyclopedia readers to be better than
this...
