[WikiEN-l] Admins who abuse their powers

In a similar vein:

We spent a great deal of time dealing with a User who was insistant on creating a vanity article at Shawn Mikula, pumping up his notability and recreating the article despite several attempts by admins and a VfD process to delete. It was finally recreated as an empty article and protected, so it could not be created again.

Another User then asked for it to be undeleted on the Votes for Undeletion page, and the votes were clearly in favor of Keep Deleted.

So, the second User has now recreated the article in his User space.

I am aware that we pretty well let Users do whatever they want to do in their User space, but this seems like a violation of consensus and Wikiquette. Am I wrong?
