Going after
vandalism is one thing, going after April Fool articles is
quite another.
Not really. Revert a few times (pointing out any descission reached on
this issue) then block until midnight UCT if they don't take the hint
(I'm aware that this could cause problems in the meta namespace but
since that is pretty much admins only any descision on that should be
respected) move to BJAODN if you feel like it just like any other
silly vandalism .
I can't see us arriving on a consensus to ban all April Fool articles on
April 1 (except for the "approved" one). The experience of Friday is that
no more vandalism occurs than on a normal day, but one or two unexpected
things happen to the main page, navs and screen furniture. This really
isn't worth legislating for and certainly is not unexpected activity on
April 1. There is in my experience a visible trend to over-react to what
was all-in-all a rather enjoyable day.
