Even if Jimbo *were* currently drawing a salary from the Wikimedia 
Foundation, it wouldn't exactly be a scandal. Frankly, I think the 
Wikimedia Foundation *should* have paid staff, and as soon as 
possible. A project as substantial as the Wikipedia can't run on 
volunteer sacrifices forever.
