Americans might be aware of a recent court case
involving a student suing on the basis of being
punished in school for using the word "fuck", which he
claimed was an infringement of his right to free
speech.  The kid's lawyer filed a long brief detailing
the history of the word, which apparently uses
Wikipedia's article as a source.  See
