Given that Wikipedia's been so slow as to make editing nearly impossible 
for a day or two now (about 50% of page-loads timeout for me, and the 
rest take 30-120 seconds to load), they probably can't do too much 
damage.  Of course, the newcomers may not be too impressed either.
