I develop a extremely simple extension (using the same technic as 
graphviz extension and easytimeline extension)
with wich you can render SVG images online ...
The main utility for me (and the community) is to maintain a version 
control over UML Diagrams and other
approachs . Instructions on how to use it and samples and downlads at my

Incidentally, last night I checked in some quick hacky code to CVS to 
support rasterizing SVG images to PNG via ImageMagick when a 
'thumbnail' size is given.

es tut sich also etwas, auch wenn es sicherlich noch ein bisschen dauern wird, 
bis es wirklich läuft.
