[Wikide-l] Prelinger Filmarchive GNU-FDL kompatibel?

Salve,

ich bin eben auf das Prelinger Filmarchiv gestoßen:
http://www.archive.org/movies/prelinger.php
und denke, das mit der gewährten Lizenzen einzelne Bilder aus diesen Filmen 
für die Wikipedia extrahiert werden könnten. Bei der GNU-FDL bin ich mir 
nicht ganz sicher, aber diese Initative ist sicherlich mit den 
Inagefördernden Wirkung einzelner Bilder, wie z.B. die NASA Aufnahmen in der 
Wikipedia "überzeugbar".

Solche Reedits sind frei?

Das Archive haben ich noch nicht gesichtet, scheint aber vielversprechend zu 
sein. Gibt es vergleichbares in Europa?

Gibt es staatliche Film/Bildarchive, aus denen man historische Bilder für die 
Wikipedia bekommen könnte?

Und man sollte bedenken viele Bilder hilft nicht unbedingt viel, eine 
ausgewogene Sichtweise und nicht eine überwiegende Bebilderung aus US-Sicht 
sollte das Ziel sein. Veilleicht bekommt man mit diesem Argument bei 
deutschen Behörden eine stärkere Unterstützung ;)

Ich weiß nicht, wie brauchbar die Auflösungen dieser Filme sind, vielleicht 
sind sie auch nur für einen Link zu einem Artikel gut.

Höhere Auflösungen und viel umfangreiche Sammlungen wird man z.B. in 
Stadtarchiven finden. Hat da jemand Erfahrung ob man diese Aufnahmen für 
GNU-FDL Zwecke scannen darf?
