[teampractices] Here comes the scrum of scrums

Thanks everyone who came and participated in the first scrum of scrums!
Overall, I think it went really well - particularly considering this was
our first iteration of this experiment.

There are just a few points I'd like to mention before we dive into the
next one:
* Please be on time. We got started late with the first one, which
exacerbates the challenge of coordinating between all of the teams in 30
minutes. I have extended the room reservation to begin at 10:25am to allow
a few minutes for folks to show up, set up the hangout, etc. I will start
the next one at 10:30am PDT with or without you :)

* I think there was some feeling about folks discussing things that weren't
really pertinent/important for other teams to here. I think this is OK, and
it will just take some calibration for us to figure out what's the good
stuff to bring up and what's not. I think that Diederik's proposal (see
'Story wall for the Scrum of Scrums') of using some kind of visual
representation of the dependencies, etc can help keep conversation well
focussed - but we also want to provide some space for us to discover hidden
dependencies or other ways in which we can collaborate.

* I personally had the sense that overall the first meeting was useful, as
touchpoints/dependencies/places for collaboration were highlighted,
discovered, and briefly discussed. Of course I am biased because I am eager
for this to succeed, so I am curious to hear other perspectives.

* There was a mistake in preparing calendar invites, and Trevor (of the
VisualEditor team) was left off. I only noticed minutes prior to the
meeting and unfortunately VE was not represented. As you can likely tell
from the notes, there were a few touchpoints discussed between VE and other
teams. Sorry for the mixup!

* We have a retrospective scheduled for Nov 12 to evaluate how things have
been going with the SoS - but please don't hesitate to discuss/share
thoughts/etc before that so we can continue to make improvements as we move
forward.

Thanks again,
Arthur
