Hi all,
I upgraded MW 1.5.8 to 1.6.6 easily..
I tested out it first on local machine.. Everything was fine but on site I a
not able to see effect of

http://www.indiaonpix.com/wiki/index.php/MediaWiki:Sidebar
nor
http://www.indiaonpix.com/wiki/index.php/MediaWiki:Sitenotice

I was asked to do check for
 $wgUseDatabaseMessages =true;
I changed this in the Localsetting.php

Now whenever I issue  TRUNCATE TABLE wiki_objectcache;  I get the site
notices and sidebar..
but after subsequent reloads the sidebar and notices are just lost.
