[Mediawiki-l] Customizing search output

Hello everyone,

I've been looking for a way to customize the way our Wiki works.

The first thing I had in mind was disabling the toolbox, either for everyone
or for certain groups. Maybe also disable the navigation for certain
groups, I already have it disabled/empty.

Another thing I've been searching for is how to add an article to a specific
namespace, and only that namespace. I've read that namespaces are an easy
way to make the wiki more like a content management system, by restricting
certain namespaces to certain groups.

The third thing I've been trying to do is to figure out how to disable
customizing your preferences and only allowing an admin to do so.

Right now, I have restrictions on who can edit, create, etc. I'm also
looking at a plug-in for adding articles to a "restrict by group" via a tab
similar to edit, watch, delete etc.

I've been looking for most of these topics over the last few days, but I've
also been looking at other things as well. If anyone could point me in the
right direction, that would be excellent!!!

Thanks
Wayne
