[Mediawiki-l] randomimage function

i've put the randomimage extension on my mediawiki,
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/RandomImage, and it works very nice.

however, in the documentation says

>The image will change when the parser cache is
>expired, either automatically or by purging the page, allowing for rotation
>of content.

As the developer says, I get a random image, but it doesn't change
when i refresh the page, because it depends on the 'parser cache'.
my question is
when does the parser cache expire?
how can i purge the page?

any idea?
