Read this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:How_to_edit_a_page

To add something on you main page, simply click on the Edit link that's on the top of the page.

Then add

[[Stuff]]

Between the double brackets (replace stuff) and save.

Return to your main page and you'll see a red link called Stuff. Click on it and you will edit that page.

Subject: [Mediawiki-l] newbie question: how to add new entry to freshlyinstalled wiki

Greetings,

I am new to media wiki. I just set up my wiki and read through the
documentation but I am having a hard time getting it up and running (meaning
understanding the documentation). Please forgive such a newbie question. My
site is located here:

http://www.grapefruitgirl.com/baguette

As you can see I've just installed the software and not configured it. I
want to start adding entries to my wiki. Here is my question: how does one
simply add a new wiki entry? Or do I have to do some basic configuration
before I can add entries?

Thanks for your help,
Jessica
