Ok, it seems one of my extensions was causing the problem.

Only a guess, have your php files been edited in a special encoding ?
Usually text editors insert an invisible number of characters at the
beginning of your documents, to be able to recognise the encoding next
time it opens it. Try to edit it in an old version of notepad (from
win95) if you are in windows... to remove them. That's the only way I
know to be able to see these codes. I haven't got a clue which editor
you can use on a Linux plateform to see them.
