[Mediawiki-l] remote MySQL database

Does anybody know if MediaWiki supports using a remote
MySQL database ?

I'm having trouble getting that set up.

Here is the error I am getting.

Turck MMCache not installed, can't use object caching functions 
*	Couldn't find GD library or ImageMagick; image thumbnailing
disabled. 
*	Installation directory: G:\wwwroot\wiki2 
*	Script URI path: /wiki2 
*	Warning: $wgSecretKey key is insecure, generated with mt_rand().
Consider changing it manually. 
*	Connected as root (automatic) 
*	Connected to database... 4.1.13a-nt; enabling MySQL 4
enhancements
