Hi,

I have been trying to enable the file:// Protocol in media wiki 1.5 (we
had it working fine in version 1.4.*)

As suggested on this page:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_FAQ

I have updated my $wgUrlProtocols variable in LocalSettings.php to read
as follows:
$wgUrlProtocols =
'http:\/\/|https:\/\/|file:\/\/|ftp:\/\/|news:|mailto:';

This doesn't seem to have the desired effect :)
Any Ideas? Has anyone else run into this problem?
