[Mediawiki-l] Images not showing, replaced by strange code??

I have run into a strange problem on our wiki : All images have all of a sudden been replaced by strange codes such as :

NaodW29-item4289a2b76c693a3  etc.

Nothing in the wiki or mediawiki setup have been changed, to cause this problem, and the image functionality has worked flawlessly since we started the wiki last winter. I wonder if anyone knows what may have caused this problem?

The images are intact and so are their image description pages.

I am running the following versions of MediaWiki :
