[Mediawiki-l] email problem

Hi all,
  I installed mediawiki 1.5.3 on Fedora 4. I also has sendmail installed and running.
  But the mediawiki email notification does no seem to work.  Neither does the email sending the new password for the existing registrated user who forgets the password.
   
  Do I need to do some configuration on the sendmail? How?
