GFDL is still a free a license.  If one is using Mediawiki software to
collaborate in writing books or the like, GFDL might well make a lot
of sense.  As a feature in Mediawiki I think it makes sense to be
there, though it certainly shouldn't be tagged as Wikipedia-compatible
any more.
