Heh, my email glossed over the technical details of this :)  The web 
interface provides the option in a checklist, so you shouldn't ever need 
to type it freeform.  When Labsconsole sees that box checked it inserts 
a project-specific setting into ldap which corresponds to the project's 
user group.  For example, for bots it adds 'sudoUser: %project-bots' to 
the sudoer entry.
