[Labs-l] beta cluster down (cause of GlusterFS)

Hello,

The Gluster volume for the beta cluster has several issues that prevents
the cluster form working properly.

The first issue was some "cannot allocate memory" errors that prevents
MediaWiki from being updated:

The second issue that happened over the weekend is that the shared log
directory is not accessible which prevents Apache from starting up or
handling requests and disable any logs:

I will work on making the beta cluster entirely independent from
GlusterFS, which would mean migrating all usages of /data/project

GlusterFS has caused so many issues since the project has started that
it is not worth pursuing its usage.  Most usages should be able to be
migrated in one way or another.
