I'd very much like the ability to get code from a section, or whole page, and use it to embed content on other sites. Anyone know the extension?

I think your asking for a specific (and already?) existing Mediawiki extension module.

The Sandbox Server is an effort to but together new learning resources, and it might be appropriate to look at developing new MW extensions through.

That said, I'm not fully versed in all the MW extensions, but I'm not sure your description is complete enough for those knowledgeable to answer (but I could be wrong).

Are you looking and some kind of Inter-wiki transclusion?
