Brion, thanks for the update. So, out of naivity: how does the process work concerning the incorporation of enhancement patches? I continued my work on read-access controlled pages (see http://mail.wikipedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2005-March/028105.html for my first approach). The second version abandoned the idea of hiding individual pages and deals with namespaces instead. My (experimental) patch for HEAD and 1.4 is attached to bug 1924 (http://bugzilla.wikipedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1924). By default, the feature is turned off and should not have any side effects. I understand that this will never be activated on the Wikipedia sites, but I've seen several enhancement requests for something like this, so I think there is an interest for this that goes beyond myself. I'd really appreciate it if the patch could be incorporated into 1.5 before the door closes. Thanks, MaPhi
