Brion (or whoever), please make this
http://meta.wikipedia.org/upload/a/ae/WikimediaHome.htm
display at
http://wikimediafoundation.org and change
the "Wikimedia Foundation" link at
http://wikimedia.org to point to
http://wikimediafoundation.org .
Also, please update
http://wikimediafoundation.org/fundraising with
http://meta.wikipedia.org/upload/6/68/Fundraising.html
and upload
http://meta.wikipedia.org/upload/7/74/GNU_FDL.html and
make it display at
http://wikimediafoundation.org/GNU_FDL.html .
A better (more wiki) way to manage the foundation's
website would be nice eventually. If forms were
enabled on meta (at least on protected pages) the HTML
could be served at
http://wikimediafoundation.org
(with white, not gray backgrounds) as if that website
were a regular (non-wiki) website (people have already
done something similar with the print versions of our
pages). This would be a killer MediaWiki feature that
any organization could use to manage their current
websites.
An inferior IMO, but more simple solution, however,
would be to just install a wiki with full HTML support
at
http://wikimediafoundation.org and have all the
pages protected (or maybe just the ones that need
forms and other potentially dangerous stuff).
But for now the static HTML pages we already have
should do.
