A database query syntax error has occurred.
The last attempted database query was:
"SELECT img_size,img_width,img_height,img_bits,img_media_type,img_major_mime,img_minor_mime,img_metadata FROM `uncommons`.image WHERE img_name = 'Noimage.png' LIMIT 1 "
from within function "Image::loadFromDB".
MySQL returned error "1142: SELECT command denied to user 'alphauser'@'localhost' for table 'image' (localhost)"
A few months ago the ability was added to limit IP blocks to allow
logged-in contributions to continue. This allowed finer-grained blocking
of troublemakers on shared IPs (schools, AOL etc).
There's some suggestion to make this the default mode. I wanted to
announce this ahead of time since it will change what happens when
admins make a block without manually clicking something extra.
If there's no serious objection, we'll go ahead and change this in a few
days.

Mailing lists weren't delivering mail for a few hours today, as the
Mailman runner daemon didn't start up due to a stale lock file after
goeje was rebooted.
Direct human aliases and OTRS would not have been affected.
Backed-up mail is going through now.

Hallo Liste,
Hilfe.

Hi,
I've written an extension that allows users to add links to the Spam
Blacklist straight from a diff page without manually editing the
blacklist article. The basic goal is to streamline the process of
reverting spam, since usually there are three actions that all need to
be done when spam occurs: a) rollback b) add to the blacklist and c)
block the IP. Another
Unfortunately, it can't be demo'ed, since it can only be used by users
who have rights to edit the Blacklist page on the wiki, but I did
create an entry for the extension here:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/SpamDiffTool_Extension
In future versions, I'd like to add the ability to also block and
rollback while adding to spam on the fly. Unfortunately the way that
the IPBlockForm and Block classes are written is that one would have
to duplicate the code for the error checking if they want to make a
new Block object to block an IP. Ideally, all of the error and rights
checking should be in the Block class, so that extensions can reuse
this code, without duplicating the code unnecessarily.
If anyone has any suggestions or comments about the extension, I'd
like to hear them.
Thanks,
Travis

I'm user:Graham87 on the english wikipedia. I use a screen reader called JAWS from Freedom Scientific at:
www.freedomscientific.com
It is the most popular Windows screen reader at the moment.
My problem is that it appears that the edit link has become part of the title of each section created with wiki markup. This problem
is compounded when using quick navigation keys to navigate between sections; in this case, JAWS will stop reading a heading title
when it encounters a link. Therefore, each heading title will be read as either "left bracket" or "edit" when I navigate between
editable sections on a MediaWiki page. I tested this with JAWS 5.1 and 6.0, which aren't the most recent versions but are still
widely used and the problem appears on both of them. I am using Windows XP with IE 6 (Firefox only works well with the latest
versions of JAWS). The headings were working fine late last night my time (about 15:30 UTC on 21 October).
I would like this fixed as soon as possible so only the section title is spoken when navigating through headings.
Thanks,
Graham
