always find another thing to shoot for (I'm sure the
developers can think of something - such as maybe
hiring a PHP/MySQL expert to audit MediaWiki's code
and suggest/implement optimization changes).

Actually, if the mark of 6,000 USD is reached that quickly, I think it would
be better to start saving up for the next wave of server upgrades - given
Wikipedia's growth, they will be necessary pretty soon again already.
