A third possibility would be to examine the Magenta Documentation
License to determine if it is compatible.

This question cannot be answered conclusively. There
are two possibilities:
1. The material was originally uploaded under the GNU/FDL by the
author; they later decided to change the license
2. The material was originally uploaded by someone not the author,
wrongly claiming that it was under the GNU/FDL.
In the FIRST case, your rights under the GNU/FDL are remaining just as
they were, and thus you have the right to re-publish it in the way
allowed to you by the GNU/FDL. That they changed license doesn't
matter - all material that has once been published under the GNU/FDL
remains available as such (but their NEW versions and articles do
not).
In the SECOND case, they did not have the right to publish the
material under the GNU/FDL, and they also could not give you that
right. The claim that it was GNU/FDL material was false, and you have
no right to publish it as such, nor did you have that right before.
