Hi all,

Hugh Corley and Keith May - sympathetic digital archaeology types at EH were approached a few years ago (through me) about making available the whole list in a useful data format. They were prevented from doing so because of all the management threats EH was under at the time.

Now that seems to be settling down it might be worth another go?

Another approach might be to find one local authority with a friendly Historic Environment Records officer as a test case? You'd get much more detailed records too.

Cheers,

P

A separate request may be more likely to work so too much isn't being asked for at once. And if Ally would be prepared to submit the request I think that would carry more weight. I'll email her directly to see if this is something she's be interested in doing.

Can I suggest that  Ally  Crockford submits this request, with others 'in support'.
