Dear all

I just wanted to let you know that there are still places available at our Annual General Meeting this Saturday 13th July, which is taking place in the beautiful setting of the Watershed in Bristol. If you would like to come, please register on our eventbrite page

Whilst the day is primarily for members, you don't have to be a member to attend and the morning's activities will hopefully be of interest to many of you. We are looking forward to hearing from Brandi Geurkink, European Campaigner at Mozilla Foundation, about her work to combat disinformation online. After that, there is going to be a facilitated discussion on 'culture and conflict on Wikipedia'. Alternatively, John Lubbock will be leading a photography tour of Bristol, so please bring cameras with you if that's more your thing. There will be a range of lightning talks from members, and we will be announcing the UK Wikimedian of the Year and Partnership of the Year Awards, as well as our inaugural Honorary Memberships.

This year we have eight candidates standing for five places on Wikimedia UK’s Board of Trustees, so every vote counts. If you are a member and can’t attend the AGM in person, please do email (or send us) your proxy vote. Details for how to do so are in last Thursday’s email to members and in the voting packs sent by post last week.

Best wishes

Lucy
