The bid page on meta was moved from the unofficial to an official bid in the format the others use (Wikimania 2008/Bids/XX) but this was reverted by Aphaia ("revert; unless you are the bidding team, you are better to leave it: only official bids should be there") - what is "the bidding team"? Do people have to commit to something, is it Wikimedia UK? Needs sorting urgently else we can't enter - deadline *tomorrow* people, as in, under 24 hours...
I received a reply from a professor at UCL who Sam organised it with last year and they are "keen". I'll continue contact with him.
