Wikimedia UK is offering a small number of scholarships to support our community members to attend and contribute to Wikimania 2016 in Esino Lario.
There are three scholarships of €500. A scholarship covers the €350 registration option (which includes accommodation for four days and travel to the conference from the airport in Italy), and travel to the conference from the UK for up to €150. We hope that this will enable the scholarship recipients to participate in the heart of the conference.
Volunteer activity within the UK Wikimedia movement is the main criteria of eligibility. Volunteers who applied for the WMF scholarship but were unsuccessful can also apply. We will prioritise applicants who would not be able to fund their attendance themselves.
The deadline for applying is 8th April and we aim to let you know by 15th April (Wikimania registration runs until 15th May).
