doesn't warrant an indefinite ban. The ban is because he had the
audacity to speak to a member of Foundation staff while waiting for a
lift... (there was only hearsay that the conversation was at all
inappropriate).

I would have to dispute your viewpoint there; did you *really* read the case.

There was ample evidence of problematic approaches, for which there were findings of fact against Fae.  And further concerning activities relating to copyright that fell outside of Arbcom's remit to investigate are certainly pertinent to WMUK. The evasion, which ultimately led to the ban, was merely icing on the cake.
