Just a quick addendum: the photos have just been uploaded to Commons at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_15_in_the_United_Kingdom too, but not in a specific category for the London event (as I know there was an Oxford one too).

It takes a bit longer to put them on Commons than Facebook, as there's more info required, but I believe they're now geocoded and categorised correctly.

Dear all

Many thanks to those of you who were able to make the 15th birthday party on Saturday, your presence was much appreciated. Photos have now gone up on Commons, and on our Facebook page here:

Also, I thought that some of you might be interested in the media coverage of the 15th birthday party in the UK, and particularly that which mentioned Wikimedia UK and featured interviews with volunteers and staff. Martin Poulter (currently Wikimedian-in-Residence at the Bodleian Libraries) gave interviews for both Sky News and ITV News, while Robin Owain and Jason Evans (WMUK Wales Manager and WiR at the National Library of Wales respectively) spoke on BBC Radio Cymru; our Head of Programmes Daria Cybulska spoke on the BBC World Service; and I was interviewed by Paul Ross on BBC London Radio.

There was of course a lot of coverage of Jimmy, who gave a substantial interview to the Telegraph and was on BBC Breakfast, as well as in other broadcast and print media. The coverage mainly felt celebratory in feel, and included some fantastically impressive statistics about Wikipedia globally, as well as insights into the work of the UK charity.

All best
Lucy
