Have a great Christmas and holidays, and a fantastic new year!

Wiki Science

We were delighted to announce and exhibit the 6 winning images for Wiki Science 2018 at the SCI:COM conference in Dublin on 12 Wednesday 2018. You can find all those winners here.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, shared it on social media, or encouraged people to get involved. Another massive thank you to our supporters: SCI:COM, Science Gallery Dublin, and anonymous prize donors who helped make this year's competition possible. Wiki Science will return next year, and we are already looking forward to it!

Editing events in TOG Hackerspace

We continue our monthly editing events in TOG Hackerspace in 2019 with our first event on Wednesday 30 January from 7-9pm. Whether you are new to Wikipedia or an old hand at editing, come along for a chat with fellow Wikimedians. All you need is a laptop - WiFi and pizza will be provided!

To get a reminder about this and other upcoming event sign up on the TOG Meetup page, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

We need you!

We are always interested in hearing from new people about what events or activities they want to see the Wikimedia community involved in here in Ireland.

We are about to start writing our grant application for the coming year of March 2019 to March 2020. Is there something we have been overlooking? Is there activity in Ireland that we should be trying to support? Are there better, more innovative ways that we could support Wikimedians (or potential Wikimedians!)?

Please do get in touch if you want to get involved, we really want to hear from you.
