I'm excited to announce the following event:

GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM TO HOST WIKIPEDIA “GUGG-A-THON” IN EARLY OCTOBER

The Guggenheim Museum will host a Wikipedia “Gugg-a-thon” on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 2pm - 8pm, to support contributions to Wikipedia’s content on museum architecture. Join us at the Guggenheim to add information about museum architecture to the world’s largest source of free knowledge during the fourth annual month-long Archtober festival.

The program will include welcoming remarks by notable scholars in the field of museum architecture, an overview of the Guggenheim’s own  architecture and design, and background on Wikipedia’s role as an institutional partner. The agenda also includes a free, backstage, architectural tour of the Guggenheim Museum. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration strongly recommended. Remote participation encouraged.
