Hello,

As you know, on 6-7 October 2018 (with a dinner on Friday 5th), Wikimedia Sverige will organize a small event with our sister affiliates in Northern Europe – Wikimedia Northern Europe Meeting (WikiNEM). It will take place at Goto10 in Stockholm. This is the first regional conference and we hope it will be a recurrent event.

About the event
The aim of the event is to find shared areas of interest and identify how we can work together. This includes, for example, the organization of future events (WikiNEM next year, Wikimania etc.), joint activities around GLAM, education, lobbying and volunteering.

All of WikiNEM will be organized as an “Open space”, a type of meeting technique that generates highly intensive dialogue based on those who are present. Please note that the topics for discussion is decided by the participants at the event. It is important that the participants have time, interest and ability to actively work to carry out joint projects / efforts / collaborations after the event.

How to nominate participants

I would kindly like to ask the Board of each affiliate to nominate no more than five (5) persons to attend the meeting. The participant may be a member of the board or a very active volunteer. We strongly encourage a selection that takes diversity into account as it enriches the discussion.

Make sure to add the user names of the nominated participants on the event page on Meta by Sunday 26 August 2018.

The event organizing team will share registration forms with the nominated participants, including scholarship options.
