We are being supported by MTN for the Wikipedia Election 2016 Project.
The support comes in the form of smartphones and mifi as a prize for those
with the best edits for the articles.
At the end of the project in November we will give out prizes.
Please we need a jury to decide who should win what.
Let's begin jury talks on Monday.

At Barcamp Koforidua over the weekend last week, I met Mary, a lecturer at
Koforidua Technical University. Mary got interested with the Wikimedia
word, and has discussed with her team. WGUG has been invited to run a
session at KTU.
*Good news!*
Will be sending a proposal letter before end of today. In the letter, we're
asked to indicate one of the days below, and explain what we plan to do
that day.
Probable days given us are next week, 26th (Wednesday) and 27th (Thursday)
of October. We been given a max of 3 hours, but I strongly suggest we stick
to a max of 1 hour 30 minutes
*If **you'll** hold the session then I think we should allow you decide.*
So, anyone wanna start the proposal letter and share with us? Do we have a
letterhead, as in, WGUG?
*I will give you the letterhead. Will open a **Google** doc for you right
away*
What should be the focus of the sessions? Wikipedia? Wikidata? Wikimedia
Commons? or any other sister project site? Wikipedia Education Program?
*I will share a doc with you regarding your question.*

Then maybe if we have breakout sessions on Wikimedia and Wikipedia in
Northern Ghana, more people would be wise and would get in touch? :-)
This was sent from #MightyAfrican's Android Device

In fact, I went into the breakout session with the intention not to take
anyone's contact whatsoever. I'm tired taking them.
I just told all in attendance to search for "Wikimedia Ghana User Group"
online. If their search engine sends them to #KalyppoChallenge, well...
But I believe a word to a wise 'is in the north' so those who really wanna
get going will get in touch if they really want to.

Please community members holding events every now and then, please make an
effort to tell the community what you are up to via the mailing list and
also list it here
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Planning_Wikimedia_Ghana/_Events_%26_Projec…>
so it can be included in reports.
This is not compulsory, however if your partners in the events think they
are dealing with an entire group which is the Wikimedia Ghana UG, then I
think it's fair you tell the group you are representing us somewhere.
Because yesterday, we were receiving tweets saying we were in Ashesi, when
I have not seen any message in the mailing list saying we were on outreach
in Ashesi.
Felix and Berchie you have been very active in projects. I have read that
you have more schools on your list and have listed as program leaders for
the Wikipedia Education Program. So if your partners are going to consider
this as a 'Wikimedia Ghana thing' please shoot the mailing list an email
and inform the social media person so we can retweet or repost etc and
finally list it here
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Planning_Wikimedia_Ghana/_Events_%26_Projec…>
.
