Inviting my fellow Wikimedians to my upcoming birthday party:
You are invited to my birthday party at my house (3164 NE 83rd Street,
Seattle) on the evening of Saturday, December 5, 2015. We'll be starting
with a potluck dinner around 6PM, and presumably continue into the wee
hours (last year went to about 3 or 4 AM, which is par for the course).
No gifts, please, but food and drink to share would be welcome.
Feel free to invite people you think would belong at my birthday party.
Acoustic musical instruments are very welcome.
If you are bringing kids, around dinner time is probably more
kid-friendly than later in the evening.

Folks,
Here's reminder about our Wikipedia Lab at the UW Research Commons in room
Green A 4:30 to 6:30. Tonight's Pacific Northwest topic is *The Port of
Seattle as a Site of Labor*.
Yours,
Peaceray
Hi all,
The bylaws for Cascadia Wikimedians have been signed. You can find a copy
of the bylaws on our website here:

Thanks to our colleagues at Wikimedia District of Columbia, whose bylaws we
modified for our own use!

Hi Cascadians,
TA3M is interested in having an end-of-year party with us, with lightning
talks and food like we had last year. I've included a funding request for
the party in our current grant request to WMF. TA3M is in the process of
finding a room and may coordinate the lightning talks. The likely date is
December 14th (second Monday of December). If you're interested in food,
lightning talks and chatting with the TA3M folks and other Cascadians, then
please mark your calendars!
We'll also have our annual membership meeting in December to elect board
members for 2016. More details to come.

Hi Cascadians,
On Monday we'll have our regularly scheduled editathon at the UW Research
Commons starting at 4:30 PM. The theme will be Native Americans in the
Northwest.
On Tuesday afternoon, Mako has invited us to his class for Q&A from 3:30 to
5:20. A few of us did this in a previous term and I think that we all
enjoyed the experience. Please contact Mako if you're able to attend. I'm
planning to show up around 4:15 PM, and I believe that Bruce will attend
also.
At 6 PM on Tuesday, after Mako's class finishes, we'll be over at Cafe
Allegro for our regular monthly meetup. The focus will be planning for
winter quarter. We've been discussing the possibility of focusing on
museums, so let's work on the details at that meeting.
Hope to see you Monday and/or Tuesday,
Pine
Hello,
My name is Abhishek Suryawanshi [[User:AbhiSuryawanshi]]. I am in Seattle
for Net Impact Conference.
I am following Wikimedia Cascadia activities virtually, and I am interested
in meeting local Wikimedians. I would like to learn more about local
communities, and I can share my Wiki-India/Wiki-NY experience in return.
I have free time on Sunday 8th November and Monday 9th November.
Kindly let me know if you would like to meet over cup of coffee :)
Thank you.
-Warm Regards,
Abhishek Suryawanshi,

Greetings!
My students and I are going to be doing a debrief and reflection
session on their experience with Wikipedia this coming Tuesday
November 10th at 3:30-5:20. We'll be in room CMU 104 at UW. My
students and I would /love/ it if any of you could take time to visit
and talk about Wikipedia.
They have all been working on Wikipedia for their assignments for
several weeks and will have lots of great questions.
Please let me know if you think you can come! So far, I have zero
RSVPs! Last year we had about half a dozen folks and it was really
fun! I'll take everydoby out for dinner afterward.
Later,
Mako
