* Hello! I'm a Bay Area Wikipedian and volunteer with the Oakland Wiki < oaklandwiki.org>, a hyperlocal and volunteer-run wiki modeled after the Davis Wiki <daviswiki.org>. My fellow volunteers and I are starting a weekly history research meetup at the Oakland History Room in the main branch of the Oakland Public Library, and you're all invited! ( The Oakland History Room, by the way, is a historian's treasure trove for anything related to Oakland's history.) I would love for this event to have the dual purpose of adding well-researched content on local history to both Wikipedia and the Oakland Wiki.
