Regarding your workshops: write your abstracts/presentations then the Program Commitee will decide if they will be applied into the main schedule.
If they are, provide a person who can cover you if you can't make it. (Better write your abstracts with someone else.)
Bye the way, the notification of acceptance is ~mid June, I suppose you will know your schedule by then, right? ;)

I would very much like to attend Wikimania, but have no idea if I am going to be able to, because I don't know my schedule that far forward. Would it be possible to register now and reserve my spot, and then pay when I arrive (or cancel some time in July if I can't make it)?
Related: If I do go, I'd like to run a workshop or two there, however I can't be sure that I'll know my schedule well enough to make the 30 April deadline.
What should I do?
