If I have to create a bespoke template etc. it'll need to wait until tomorrow as I don't have the capacity for that today; I'm on the road because of my day job until tomorrow morning.  I don't dare attempt something like this on my mobile!

Hopefully someone else can pick this up accordingly in the meantime, but if it's still unresolved by tomorrow morning I should be able to give it my full attention again. It is indeed surprising that such a key template has such restrictive editing permissions on it.

P.S.: I just realised that that page does nothing, because the actual dates are stored in https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:WLM-is-running, which can only be edited by Commons Admins (which is quite an extreme measure and relies solely on a handful of people). It might be advisable to create your own template in order to still be in control of your campaign (one example of that would be https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:WikiDaheim_is_running ).

We would greatly appreciate any direct help or suggestions to fix this.
