A good plan. I've no idea how other trademarks in the wikimedia ecosystem are handled.

Hi all,

Following a question at our grant application page, I've asked the legal team whether they will want the WikiJournal trademark to be a property directly of Wikimedia Foundation.

Best regards,

Mikael

Dear legal team,

The WikiJournal User Group is now a registered non-profit organization in Sweden, and we are now applying for funding for registering WikiJournal as a trademark in the United States.

Is is all right that this trademark belongs to the WikiJournal User Group organization, or do you require it to belong directly to the Wikimedia Foundation?

Best regards,

Mikael Häggström
