I blocked user:HeadCase for blanking my talk page and using profanity. Coincidentally (?) this was just after Pakaran speculated that user:Illuminati is a reincarnation of Khranus. Anyway, I'm probably going to go off-line in the next half hour and take my usual weekend off from Wikipedia. Let me know if I'm still a sysop on Monday... Your un-Entish friend, Ed Poor

You really shouldn't have done that. Using profanity has never been a bannable offense. And blanking a talk page hasn't either. Unless it was done repeatedly and maliciously. And you should never have blocked someone who was going after you. You really should have let someone else do it.

Let me know if I'm still a sysop on Monday...

Does this statement mean that you recognize that what you did was questionable, but you still went ahead and did it? C'mon.

I agree... though most users who maliciously use profanity aren't logged in, for example the person a few weeks back who kept making anatomical references about sysops on vandalism in progress.

This may or may not be a questionable decision. Given that you realized your mistake in 3 minutes, I don't see a huge problem (but then I'm just an ordinary user).

Which, by the way, I no longer believe - Illuminati does not use profanity, and seems to like to talk *about* vaguely conspiracy-related topics rather than *advocating* every conspiracy theory that pops into his head.
