{{notability|Biographies}}
Regardless of my (unpopular) views on the "notability" guideline this
template does use clearer and less marginalizing language than the
aforementioned "importance or significance of a real person"
mumbo-jumbo [1] which provoked the legal threat.
I'd say the template is a bit less likely to offend people but that
doesn't mean I'm likely to use it. Granted the "notability concerns"
of a given article generally fail to twist my knickers as long as the
facts check out.[2]
What I'd really like people to do right now is spot-check various
templates and MW pages (plus the source code of twinkle or huggle or
scroogle or whatever go-fast apparatii they use these days).
If you see any multiple choice responses which are worded poorly or
ambiguously enough to make the blood boil and the phones ring in the
same stray click, get rid of it.
