It’s not clear to me what will be done with the answers proposed so far at

Will  they be submitted as they are, or is someone proposing to merge them into a single version (even though many answers have been signed)?

Also unclear unless I have missed something is who will the answers be submitted by, and on whose behalf?  Only individuals - and not the Foundation nor chapters - have formally posted answers so far, so is the intention that the answers will be submitted by and on behalf of those individuals only?

We will try our best to merge the many different answers into a coherent set. If this works, the WMF,chapters and individuals will be free to decide whether they wish to submit these answers in their own name.

I think our idea when we proposed this was that the Foundation would use these responses as the basis of the formal Foundation response. I hope to start pulling those together this afternoon and post them for brief review comment in the next few days; we'll then take that and turn it into a better formatted answer.

Chapters would of course also be free to use them, though I think many of the EU-based chapters are planning to use the excellent answers at http://youcan.fixcopyright.eu/ (which we will also use as a reference where the people contributing on-wiki have not answered, or have only given a very small number of answers).

We're still learning/experimenting here, so thoughts/comments/etc. totally welcome!

Luis
