FYI that someone has written a plugin for Muzei (a popular minimalist background switching app on Android) that switches your background among random recent Commons Picture of the Days every few hours. I've really enjoyed seeing a variety of beautiful Commons-y things on my phone since I've started using it; so I thought I might share here.
