My API contains only 3 modules:

  action         - What action you would like to perform
                   One value: login, logout, help
                   Default: help

How can I install the other modules (specifically the query module)?

I have MediaWiki 1.13.1 - should I upgrade it to 1.17? Or is it possible to upgrade the API only?
